At every essential oil workshop I taught people would ask, “can I use these on my pets?”. I had read about the uses in Holistic Aromatherapy for Animals, and some other books. That wasn’t enough though, I wanted to learn more. I wanted to ensure I was providing people with reliable safe information.

Around the same time the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists (NAHA) monthly webinar topic was animals. The presenter, Kelly Holland Azzaro, was speaking about essential oil safety with pets. I truly felt this was the universe sending me a sign. I needed to follow this path. I did some research into Kelly’s program through animalaromatherapy.com which offers:

  • Level I Foundation Course – basics to ensure you are using them safely at home
  • Level II A&P Aromatics – This level will teach you about the anatomy and physiology of a variety of animals and how essential oils can impact them.
  • Level III Animal Aromatherapy Acupoint Meridian Therapy – This level will cover information regarding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). You will learn how to use acupressure points and essential oils to impact the overall wellbeing of the animal
  • Level IV Essential Oil Chemistry 101 – Take a deeper dive into the essential oils that you can use safely and effectively with animals.
  • Level V Aromatherapy & MRSA Support – Learn about how essential oils can impact MRSA.
  • The final sections will provide you with a foundation for having an ethical animal aromatherapy business and suggestions for building and marketing.

This program truly had everything that I needed and more.

Level I is the perfect option for the home user. To learn more about Level I you can visit animalaromatherapy.com. I knew I wanted to provide my clients more information, so I opted for the full course.

As you can see from the summary above the full course has a lot of information. You will also receive information on over 50 essential oils and a wide variety of aromatic botanicals. I was really intrigued by the Level III course learning about TCM and acupressure points. I have found understanding the meridian points has helped me to better connect and help my animal clients.

Kelly provides detailed one on one coaching, so although you aren’t in classroom you don’t feel like you are missing anything. I have been able to support many animals since completing this course.

If you are an essential oil and animal lover, you must consider getting proper education. I am so grateful for having taken this course. I now have the confidence to help animals big and small in a safe and effective manner. I can also help guide my workshop attendees with good information.
